The satisfaction of another person enjoying something I've created and served is immeasurable. The science behind cocktails, the necessary exactitude in creating a tried and true recipe, all of it is satisfying in a way I can't explain. I love the art of it, the service aspect and the theatrics of being behind a bar creating and participating in an experience that's memorable for all.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?This is an impossible question. My favorite drink to make depends on the person I'm making it for. I love making old fashioneds or martinis because those are seemingly simple, but the hardest to get just right. I love anything aesthetically pleasing. Layered drinks or something shaken and garnished just right can be like a work of art. I take pride in all drinks I make. I'm always striving to put out the cocktail the person is looking for and when I get to, that is my favorite drink to make.
What would you do with the $20,000?I would put the money into necessary improvements to our home. Whatever is left would be used to start up a business with my husband so we can live our dream and provide a fulfilling and exciting life for our daughter.
