Being able to work on my craft and passion, seeing the smiles of my regulars everyday. The connections and friendships made have impacted my life so heavily. I don’t know where I’d be in life without being a bartender.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?It’s my own twist on a godfather, using Johnnie Walker black label, Disaronno amaretto, sweet vermouth, maple syrup and bitters served on a big rock. I’ve called it the Shangri La I love making it for people who aren’t familiar with the beauty of cocktails. A magnificent twist of sweet and smoky that’s puts surprise and delight on someone’s mind when they try it. My heart and soul goes into making it everytime.
What would you do with the $20,000?I would use a reward like this to launch my career. I got into this industry right before covid struck to take care of my mother after a tragic house fire in 2019. We didn’t have anything but the clothes on our backs. I don’t have a vehicle to get myself to a high class bar for work. I live alone with my two cats living paycheck to paycheck. I want this as my career, $20,000 would be a miracle in my life.
