My favorite part about bartending is being able to converse with and get to know all different people from many different walks of life. I am lucky to operate and bartend at a bar located in Boston, MA on a very busy street. All different types of people make their way into the bar and I love being able to make them feel comfortable and wanted. Whether its some fun banter, serious conversations, or enjoying each others company on a quiet day, getting to know different people will never get old.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?My favorite drink to make is a Black and Tan, which is a half of Harp Lager in a Guinness glass with a Guinness Stout top half. This is my favorite drink to make because it was one of the first things I learned to do as a bartender when I was 18. I worked in a English Pub where all the local Premier League fans would gather to watch some "footy". A black and tan was very common. When people order that drink it makes me feel nostalgic to the exciting beginning of learning to work the bar.
What would you do with the $20,000?In May of 2024 I got married to my husband who is a very talented Musician from Ireland. A dream of ours would be to open our own bar somewhere in Boston or on the East Coast. Since May we have paid many legal expenses for his Citizenship to the US! We skipped out on a honeymoon and have been working really hard since. I would use $20,000 towards my goals for my future family.
