I feel like I am a performer on a Broadway show! Bartending is what you choose to make it, and I choose to treat every night as if it's opening night. I am fortunate to work in a decadent Italian-themed Speakeasy in Las Vegas, so once I am done putting out menus, lighting candles, and karate chopping the pillows - it's show time! My alter ego the minute I walk through our speakeasy door is to be a strong beautiful smart woman behind the bar making you a badass cocktail, her name is Fortune.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?Old Fashioned. As a little girl, my Grandad always drank Crown Royal OF's before dinner. He taught me to respect liquors and how to properly enjoy them. It was the first cocktail that I was complimented on when I started bartending. The assistant manager, Christine, was touching tables my 1st night live and asked how my cocktails were for feedback, and one gentleman said, "Tell the bartender he makes a mean Old Fashioned!", to which she responded, "She. I will let her know."
What would you do with the $20,000?When I am fortunate to have received the $20,000 from Bar Boss, I will put it towards starting my craft cocktail business. Starting with an LLC! I will look for a mobile vehicle that I can customize for markets out here in Las Vegas to join the entrepreneurship culture. Garnishes, glitters, alcoholic and non options! I want to attract all to beautiful libations. To celebrate, my husband and I will go out to a very nice dinner in Las Vegas, enjoying our city. Thank you for the opportunity!
