Learn MoreIt can be like hosting a hundred little parties every night, but with all the best stories and none of the cleanup. There’s something about mixing up a drink that’s part alchemy, part therapy session. I get to create flavors, witness first dates, celebrate wins, and lend an ear to the day’s defeats all in a single shift. And nothing beats that satisfaction of sliding a perfectly crafted cocktail across the bar and watching someone’s bad day melt away with that first sip.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?The Haitian Divorce is my favorite cocktail to make. It proves opposites don’t just attract—they enchant. You’ve got the rich, bold flair of Haitian rum colliding with mezcal’s smoky mystique, anchored by the sweetness of Pedro Ximénez sherry and the spice of Angostura bitters. It’s a drink that’s both smooth and slightly irreverent, mixing elegance with edge. It’s my favorite to make because it tells a story in every sip. And it's also a good Steely Dan song!
What would you do with the $20,000?If I won the $20,000. My dream would be to take a cocktail tour around the world. To experience what the world has to offer in the realm of craft mixology. And be able to bring that knowledge back to the states and share what I've learned.
