My favorite thing about being a bartender is having the ability to interact with people in an engaging environment. You never know who you could end up meeting or whose day you could end up making with your cocktail, mocktail, or conversation. I also thoroughly enjoy having the ability to craft unique, personalized cocktails through experimenting with new flavor combinations and ingredients and presenting/garnishing them in a way that brings joy to the guest.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?My favorite drink to make is a gin fizz, or more specifically a variation of a gin fizz. This cocktail has so many variations naturally but is so versatile that you can really make it to fit the guest or occasion. For example, one of my favorite cocktails that I have made was a sugar cookie gin fizz around the holidays.
What would you do with the $20,000?The $20,000 would truly be life changing. I am a full-time social worker and, unfortunately, student loans and life circumstances have led to substantial debt. Winning the competition would allow for me to have financial freedom in a way that I haven't before so I can best support my family and begin working towards career dreams and goals which includes creating a mobile bar business and menu consultation.
