I love making people taste unexpected drinks where they can’t figure out the layers but love and discuss what they think they are tasting. Getting patrons to discuss what’s going on in their drink and the unexpected flavor profiles make me smile. I love sparking conversations at the bar.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?I love making a sazerac classically as it was my gateway moment of clarity into mixology, but lately I have enjoyed making riffs on last words , naked and famous, and super weird riffs on Negroni sfalianos.
What would you do with the $20,000?I would probably use the money to start my desire of making actual liquor as a company. I would love to make what I have always been playing around with in small batches like amer dit picon, yellow chartreuse, kill devils , banana amaro, and elderflower amaro. It’s been a dream to make my own liquors.
