Hard to narrow down. I love meeting new people and building relationships with regulars. I love the science of cocktails. Sucrose esters! Sodium algenate! Fat washing! Cryo concentration! Making delicious drinks that can change a mood from bad to good is great. Also the challenge of making something different and delicious is a great part of it. I love the culture. I love the styles. The history!
What is your favorite drink to make and why?Lately I've really been enjoying taking crappy drinks I find on Facebook and turning them into drinkable and delicious cocktails.. most recently the vampires kiss and the drunken ghost but I love making ANY cocktail. Classic fat washed old fashioned? Should I smoke it for you? Margarita? Classic or Tommy with a salt air? Maybe a Mai Tai with homemade orgeat and acid adjusted lime? I love not just cocktails but ALL drinks. I make a delicious smoothie and warm spiced cider. Dessert shot maybe?
What would you do with the $20,000?I would dramatically improve my family's lives! We have a type 1 diabetic child and thus rely on my income. I'd love to start my own business! Winning this would help me aquire start up funds and bring my skills to more people who appreciate me (and a fine drink). Maybe a touch of a much needed vacation as well!! 😜
