That I’m successful NOT in spite of, but BECAUSE I am 100% genuinely and unapologetically myself. In many professional settings, individuality can often get in the way of success (cue corporate speak here). I'm not knocking those who are fulfilled in that culture, but it's not for me and that's why I am so thankful this is where I was meant to be.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?I created a cocktail called “Down on the Farm,” for a competition summer of 2024. I created it and competed when I was going through an immensely difficult time, physically & emotionally. Despite the circumstances, I did it. (Killed the cocktail and got through to the other side). I foraged for the ingredients while recovering from a procedure, put a smile on my face & showed up with something I was terribly proud of. Also, it was the best whiskey drink to ever touch my lips.
What would you do with the $20,000?I started hosting BNB guests in my guest rooms in May. Without giving too much away, I am opening my own business that will really enhance travelers experience of each unique city they visit, featuring local offerings at their fingertips so they can immerse themselves in their destination no matter how short their stay. I did plan to start small, but I'd use the winnings to invest in being able to start BIG & the possibilities would be endless from there. I want to be in charge of my OWN dream!
