I love it when someone comes in who’s never been to the bar before. They don’t know what to expect, or maybe they’re not having the best of days, and by the time they leave, maybe their day is a little better. Whether they are sitting at a table or at the bar, we always have customers who walk in as a stranger & walk out as a regular. I love creating the memories & stories people take with them on their journeys. And I love when they come back the next day… just like that, they’re a part of us.
What is your favorite drink to make and why?If you asked me this a year ago, I’d probably say a classic margarita, with fresh muddled limes and lots of salt around the rim, because I loved drinking them. Now, I’d have to say I enjoy making whatever our cocktail of the month is, because it’s teaches me something new each month. I like to experiment & love to learn from people around me who have also been in the industry for many years.
What would you do with the $20,000?I’ve always wanted to open my own bar. It’s been a long time coming but we want to find a place that feels right. It would really mean a lot to me to be able to put some money into this bar. I know my partners will support my dream, but it would feel really great to be able to add my own money to the project.
